Oats or granola?
Granola is born from oats — but reaches the jar with sugar and oil added. The “healthy” breakfast is sometimes dessert in disguise.

Who wins at what
Plain oats have the same fiber with far fewer calories, sugar and fat. Granola is crunchier and handy, but read the label — many carry dessert-level sugar. Homemade granola with lightly toasted oats fixes it.
